the other day i got xgl running on my computer. to those (99%) who don’t know what that is, it’s like mac for linux. posh effects on the desktop! i’ve been running linux soley for the last few months, and this time i think i’m finally here to stay.

i had a medical today for work. it’s quite an absurd thing really. being asked to pee in a cup and then sit with it in a waiting room for an hour.

i should try to blog more. a lot has happened recently. as many probably know, keith hooked me up with a job at anglicare / ncls. it’s a really great job. it’s a nice work environment, the people are nice and it fits in really well with other stuff i’m doing during the week. the only stinger is the travel. i’ve been thinking hard about getting a laptop so i can do work in the 6+ hours i spent in travel a week now.

i so busy now. between an internship, 3 days of work and trying to start a business, i don’t really have any time left. this coming week is certainly going to be a long one. i have a retreat with my church / internship thing. i don’t really want to go either. it’s one of these long contemplative things, which i get really restless in. and i’m sure there’s going to be no wine either.

i have a feeling this winter is going to be a cold one.

what a crazy day. it was one of those ones that ended up being really long with me planning on it.

every friday seems long, when you’re doing youth work. i sound like i don’t like it. i do like it, it’s just a hard slog sometimes. we had reduced leaders and alot of things when wrong tonight. we had another youth group pop in on us, and not that it’s overly important, but it’s annoying when things go pear shaped and people you don’t really know are there to witness it.

towards the end of the night i was praying for people, when this dude whom i’d just finished praying with grabbed me and gave me a hug. which was funny because i usually feel so inadequate when i pray for people. i think he felt he just needed a hug. that was the highlight of my day i think.

meanwhile, victory one is now an official registered business.

i went to hillsong tonight. it was really good. my best encounter yet. and they announced this crazy news of new land they’d purchased in the city, which is cool.

and now a feel sick from the triple cheeseburger i had afterwards.
